37 of the most common questions about our tape, how to apply it, how to look after it, and how we ship it — with honest, useful answers.
Each pack contains 20 pre-cut strips, each at the medically-favoured 5cm × 25cm size, threaded inside our credit-card-sized built-in dispenser. Total tape per pack is a 5m roll. A printed application guide is included with first orders.
The fabric is 95% Rayon / 5% Spandex — a synthetic blend chosen for performance. The adhesive is a medical-grade, hypoallergenic acrylic. The tape is latex-free.
Synthetic fibre is naturally antimicrobial, dries roughly three times faster than cotton, and holds its tension longer through sweat and water. Cotton wicks moisture into the adhesive layer and peels at day two; synthetic gives you the full 5 to 7 day wear time the format is designed for.
The credit-card-sized hard-shell dispenser protects the roll in transit so strips arrive flat and unfrayed, and keeps every strip ready to pull cleanly in the bottom of a kit bag, glove box or treatment-room drawer. It is the only kinesiology tape on the market built this way.
Yes — no scissors needed. Twenty individual strips, each at 5cm × 25cm, pull out one at a time through the dispenser slot. For more advanced shapes (Y, X, Fan, Web) you would cut from the strip; for the most common I-strip application you don’t cut anything.
Same tape, same adhesive, same dimensions — just different colour. Beige is the discreet choice for under work clothes, skin-tone matching, and visible-on-camera situations. Black is the gym-floor default for trainers, sports kit and confident contrast. Most regulars buy both.
The Talisman Collection is our exclusive range of five printed designs — Viking, Chakra, Dreamcatcher, Latin and Feng Shui — each available as vertical or horizontal print. Same medical-grade tape and adhesive underneath; the wearable aesthetic is what changes. See the Talisman Collection.
Yes. All materials — the Rayon/Spandex fabric, the acrylic adhesive and the dispenser — are synthetic. No animal-derived ingredients, no animal testing.
Four universal steps: prep, anchor, apply, activate. Full step-by-step with diagrams on the How to apply page. For specific body parts, see our body-area guides.
Zero on the anchor ends, always. 25–75% on the middle section depending on goal: less stretch = more support; more stretch = more proprioceptive activation and decompression. The standard default is 50%. Detailed breakdown on the How to apply guide.
For most areas — knee, foot, calf, shoulder, neck, wrist — you can apply alone. The back is harder to reach and is the one area where a second pair of hands genuinely helps. Pregnancy bump-support taping is also easier with help.
Almost always a prep issue. See the troubleshooting section on How to apply: most non-sticking comes from invisible lotion/oil residue, damp skin, or skipping the 30-second activation rub.
No, never. Kinesiology tape goes on intact skin only. Avoid open wounds, fresh stitches, broken skin, active infections, rashes or undiagnosed lumps.
At least 30 minutes after application. The adhesive is heat-activated and takes that long to fully bond. Apply at home and head to the gym, not in the changing room five minutes before warm-up.
Up to 7 days. Realistic average wear is 5 to 7 days with proper skin prep. Some people get 4 days, some get the full 7 — it depends on the area, the activity level, and how well you prepped the skin.
Yes. The tape is water-resistant and sweat-resistant. Pat dry after showering — don’t rub with a towel.
Yes. The synthetic fabric handles pool and sea water without losing adhesion. Dry the area gently after.
Yes. Many of our customers apply specifically for overnight wear — postural cueing, sleep-wrinkle prevention, recovery from the day’s activity. The tape moves with you and won’t come off.
Brief exposure is fine. Prolonged heat may loosen the adhesive — the same heat that activates it can also re-melt the bond if held there long enough. A normal sauna session is no problem; an hour-long hot tub soak might shorten the wear time by a day or two.
Don’t rip it off. Soak with warm shower water or baby oil for 30 seconds, then peel slowly in the direction of hair growth, rolling the tape back along the skin rather than pulling it up. Full removal instructions on the How to apply page.
Yes — the adhesive is hypoallergenic and latex-free. If you have very reactive skin, run a 24-hour patch test on your inner forearm before a full application. Reactions are rare but a patch test rules out individual sensitivity.
Yes — safe for children. For younger kids, lower stretch percentages (15–25%) and shorter strips work best, and an adult should apply.
Yes, with midwife or GP approval. Kinesiology tape is widely used for bump support, round-ligament discomfort and lower-back load during pregnancy. See the full pregnancy taping guide for specific techniques and what to avoid.
Remove the tape immediately, wash the area with mild soap and water, apply a soothing moisturiser. Most reactions are mild and resolve within 24 hours. If irritation persists, spreads, or you develop blistering, contact your GP.
Our tape is CE Marked and SGS Certified to the relevant medical-tape standards. We do not market or sell in the US, so FDA registration is not relevant to our product, but the CE and SGS certifications cover the same underlying material and manufacturing standards.
No. The tape is a passive external textile with no electrical activity and no chemical absorption into the body. It is safe to apply over the pacemaker area and does not interact with oral, topical or injected medication. If in doubt, check with the prescribing clinician.
The most common are: runner’s knee, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, lower-back pain, shoulder impingement, tennis elbow, achilles tendinopathy, neck tension, postural support, pregnancy support, post-op swelling and lymphatic drainage. Full library on the pain & injury guides hub.

Yes. Standard application is two parallel I-strips along the tibialis anterior at 25–50% stretch. See the guides hub for the full technique.
Yes — lower-back I-strips, X-strips and decompression patterns are among the most-applied techniques. Full breakdown on the back pain guide.
